Bundesforschungsministerin Prof. Dr. Annette Schavan mit den Cluster Siegern

The efficiency cluster “Logistik Ruhr” wins the clusters of excellence competition of the German Government. The consortium secured itself subsidies at a value of approximately 40 million € for the coming five years.

The Efficiency Cluster Management GmbH (ECM) located in Muelheim/Ruhr serves for the cluster as an independent office, where proven experts of the agiplan GmbH for cluster management and logistics are working. There the tasks which concern administration, co-ordination, marketing and competence development are merged.

ECM managing director is Dr. Christian Jacobi. A goal of the network is it to create a world-wide active center for innovative design of highly efficient logistics services. Due to interdisciplinarity small and medium-size enterprises are able to cooperate with global players. They will also get an easy access to research and development at the highest international stage.
